Delphi 8 update 2 available

Thursday, March 11, 2004 10:19 PM

General Update 2 (no, not the military kind) for Delphi 8.0 is now available for download. It fixes a lot of issues, and even adds some new features (the Borland XML components).

Michael Swindell, Director of Developer Tools - Delphi and .NET, has posted this message to the Borland newsgroups. It has some important news for Delphi developers:

  • There will be a patch for Delphi 7.0 (for Win32). It is expected to be released in Q2 2004.
  • Win32 development doesn't stop there: Borland is planning another version of Delphi, which will support both Win32 and .NET.
  • A lot more - just read the damn thing.
